![]() Since every character in this manga (OMG, there are male characters in the hero's party!) gets their fair share of "screentime" and is unique in terms of interests and social class, I feel like every supporting character has a purpose in the story.Įven though they are highly sexualized, the girls have personalities and aspirations and are not just there to fall in love with the main character in 1.3 seconds or to serve as walking fanservice.Ī manga that can put together thighs, nice world-building, and a compelling storyline is hard not to love. The main character is more of an antihero, willing to put his desires (putting kneesocks on the thighs of big-boobed girls) ahead of saving the world, but he can also be a friend and a badass, which makes him a nice MC in my opinion. Instead, you will learn about all the characters' inner thoughts and personalities later on. You shouldn't expect breathtaking paneling and extremely detailed drawings.Įvery character is well-written and has a backstory, which is typically somewhat depressing, but as I previously mentioned, you won't learn about this in the first 10–20 chapters because the story's first half is more concerned with world-building and the premise of the hero's adventure. The author's style resembles that of a shounen manga all of the characters have similar facial expressions, but I like it, and I'll be honest: the ecchi parts have a lot of the same censorship (like wrapped portions of clothing covering the nipples), but they are very well made, as of the landscapes and backgrounds, which are well drawn. Since I don't want to give anything away, I suggest you start this manga only if you're willing to read more than 100 chapters because that's when this manga gets good. Although this one does it as well, in my opinion, it's not the most crucial component. If you're looking for an ecchi manga, this has some of it, and the author brilliantly manages to link the perverted side of the main character to what's happening around him, but I suppose there are shorter series, which focus more on the ecchi part. Demons from Hell will be his enemies, but someone else is also plotting in the shadows. The Hero's task is to close Hell's gates, which reopened three years after they were shut before this story begins. With a pseudo-medieval setting, the world-building is nice and everything has a reason to be where it is. reading, more and more information about this world's mysteries is revealed, and trust me when I say that this ecchi manga has some unexpected plot twists. He has a huge fetish for thighs with kneesocks.Īs previously anticipated, the plot is not particularly complex at first, but as you continue He is an extremely perverted farmer who will do anything to get his hands on the voluptuous legs of the female protagonists in this manga. The plot is straightforward and even cliche if you want to call it that, but what makes it unique is the way it is presented: the protagonist of this manga isn't a proud and valiant knight or a skilled adventurer with the desire to explore the world with his party to forge strong bonds. This hidden gem might suffer from repetition and unsteady pacing, but when it hits the right spots, it truly shines! I personally started loving after I trudged through the mediocre beginning (chapter 1 was great, but the series doesn't pick up steam until later). ![]() Some of the more interesting characters are forgotten or cast asideĭefinitely for fans of ecchi-based humor and low-brow parodies of fantasy settings. Characters with signature jokes tend to utilize them often + Side characters and a few of the villains leave immediate impressions + Cast interactions provide great comedy experience + Touka Scott is a great blend of the cynical wise-cracker, the sleazy pervert and the sadistic thug characters Average art quality tends to be sub-par +/- Character designs are safe, perhaps to drive home the parodies Suffers from unevening pacing, sometimes skimming over character development to get to the next punchline + Utilizes extra 4-komas to both fill out parts of the plot and provide more laughs + Has a plot that successfully guides the comedy into interesting directions + Successfully makes fun of fundamental fantasy anime tropes Leave it to the sleazy villager to kill mankind's last hope! I'll make this short, a bit-sized review of sorts, just to get the main aspects of this work.
